One of the world's most iconic bands is coming to Perth on November 18 for an Australian-exclusive concert in a major tourism coup for Western Australia.

Coldplay will bring their record-breaking Music Of The Spheres World Tour to Optus Stadium for a performance that is expected to drive thousands of international and interstate visitors to WA.

Coldplay will play in Australia for the first time in seven years - and the first time in Perth for 14 years - in a deal delivered by the McGowan Government.

The performance will be promoted nationally and in key international markets alongside travel packages designed to encourage visitors to stay longer and explore WA.

The Music of The Spheres World Tour has sold over six million tickets across Europe, North America, and Latin America since it began in March 2022.

Coldplay sold more concert tickets than any other artist last year as the band broke attendance records around the world.

Coldplay singer Chis Martin said: "We are so excited that we will be coming through Perth for one concert at Optus Stadium on November 18 this year and we really look forward to seeing you. We haven't been to Australia for too long and we are so excited to come back. Can't wait to see your smiling faces."

Pre-sale of tickets will commence at 10am AWST on Monday 15 May, running until 9am AWST on Tuesday 16 May.

General public tickets go on sale at 10am AWST on Tuesday 16 May at http://www.livenation.com.au and https://www.coldplay.com/tour.
