The world's best tennis players will unite in Western Australia again this summer to compete at the 2025 United Cup, which returns to Perth for the third time.
The event's official draw was live streamed to the world today, revealing which countries will be playing across host cities Perth and Sydney from Friday, 27 December.
In huge news for WA, Team USA will be taking to the court at RAC Arena, led by men's world number six Taylor Fritz and women's world number three Coco Gauff.
Crowd favourite and men's world number 11 Stefanos Tsitsipas will also be heading to Perth, representing Team Greece.
All up, Perth will host top-ranked players from the United States, Greece, China, Canada, Germany, Spain, Kazakhstan and Brazil over six action-packed days.
Across the tournament, 18 countries featuring up to three men and three women will compete in singles and mixed doubles, where they battle it out for a minimum AUD$15 million prize money and 500 PIF Association of Tennis Professionals and Women's Tennis Association ranking points.
To add to the atmosphere, a multicultural festival will also take place at the Plaza at RAC Arena throughout the tournament, serving up roving entertainers, cultural performances, face painting, DJs and food offerings from around the world in celebration of the participating countries.
Group matches will commence from Friday, 27 December with two quarterfinal matches taking place on New Year's Day.
The remaining quarterfinals, semifinals and final will be held in Sydney from 2 to 5 January 2025.
The United Cup continues to be a hit in Perth, attracting out-of-state visitors and injecting millions of dollars into the WA economy across 2023 and 2024.
The full tournament schedule will be released on Tuesday, 22 October with group stage tickets going on sale at 5pm local time tomorrow.
